Reviews/ Feedback
Voluntering at the senior home was such a great expierence to me and not in a cheesy way. Most of the time students have to find a volunteer opportunity by themselves and everyone is always so exclusive about what they are doing but that doesn't happen at BUDS. I'm excited to be part of a student run organization and although there hasn't been any events since the senior home, I'm still excited for the future events BUDS will provide.
Our Journey to go International
What International means
Going international will allow us to reach many more people, broadening our positive influence. One big community in which we all can connect is the highlight of this organization.
At the end of the day, we want everyone to have the ability to access our organization and to change their lives and mindset for the better.
How does this help?
In today's society, People are constantly comparing and criticizing one another. Whether it would be because of someone's background, or their hairstyle, it is a natural part of modern culture to express an opinion on it. These opinions may be positive but could also be negative. As a result, social barriers are formed due to insecurity and fear of what others will think.

To reduce judgment, we allow others to view new experiences such as hobbies, culture, lifestyle, and who we are as a whole. This makes it possible to foster a sense of community and pride for what we do and who we are. With awareness and open-mindedness, we support our future: filling it with unity and acceptance.
How would this benefit me?
A open-minded society opens new opportunities in who we interact with, what we do, and how we feel as a whole. More specifically, think about a time you wanted to go up to someone with intentions to build a bond. Now imagine the reason you (possibly) chickened out. It was because of fear of looking weird right? If we keep an open mind, we can empathize with others that the mindset of ‘looking weird’ won’t be a concern and that first impressions should not define us as a whole. If you have never been in this situation, there are still many other ways BUDS will be beneficial. As a person, having a network is important whether it’s because you own a business that needs connections or if you need someone's help with pumping air in a tire. Either of these instances will ultimately lead to your own diligence. As you see others lending a helping hand such as making your day with some extra peaches they picked or just lending a helping ear, courage and inspiration arises, which will allow you to reflect the same diligent services as seen in others. As a community, nation, and world, we can benefit in numerous areas which altogether brings the uprising of who we are today.
